FREE SCREENING: SLEEPAWAY CAMP IV
Thursday, June 28 - 7:00 p.m.

Come join Editor Dustin Ferguson and Composer John Altyn for the official U.S. theatrical premiere of SLEEPAWAY CAMP IV: THE SURVIVOR, a sequel in the long running SLEEPAWAY CAMP cult franchise, at the Mary Riepma Ross Media Arts Center on Thursday, June 28 at 7 p.m.

The admission free and open to the public screening will be followed by a Q&A with Dustin Ferguson and John Altyn.

Allison Kramer (CARRIE CHAMBERS) suffers recurring nightmares and selective amnesia. She returns to camp to discover the truth only to find dark memories coming to life before her very eyes. In her exploration she encounters a sleazy ranger (JOHN LODICO) and kindly hunter (Scarface's VICTOR CAMPOS). Death awaits them, as the secrets of infamous killer Angela Baker are revealed.

SLEEPAWAY CAMP IV: THE SURVIVOR is a sequel in the long running cult classic franchise. A test shoot directed by legendary grindhouse editor Jim Markovic was conducted in 1992 which never graduated to full filming. However, over the past 20 years the footage was rescued and painstaking work began on reconstructing the project using archive scenes from previous films as well as newly recorded narration and visual effects to create a "clip" movie that would approximate the original intent to as final a degree as possible. The result of years of work is now available as a 70min feature approved by the director.

Dustin Ferguson Bio:
Born in 1982 in Dodge City, KS horror fan Dustin Ferguson moved to Lincoln with his family in the early 80's. After graduating college in 2005 with a business management degree, Dustin decided he didn't want to become part of society's norm. Instead of only joining the workforce, Dustin began working on horror films in 2005 under his fanediting label "Retro Horror Remix", who released over 100 re-edited horror films for free over the internet. Fan John Klyza (producer of the "Sleepaway Camp" Boxset) noticed and enjoyed his work so he offered Dustin a job editing together the long-awaited sequel "Sleepaway Camp IV" in 2008.

During the next several years while Dustin edited the film he was offered several other editing gigs for television and films. He also started to Direct his own movies, and eventually launching his own DVD distribution label in 2011 called "RHR Home Video".

Today, SLEEPAWAY CAMP IV is finished with several other of Dustin's feature films. He is most famous for his low budget film "The Legacy of Boggy Creek", a sequel to the 1972 docudrama about the legendary "Skunkape". Most recently he was given the opportunity to direct a grindhouse-style double feature which begins lensing this summer in Weston, NE.
