Please join us for a movie talk and discussion with Luchina Fisher, Danielle Deaver, and Dr. Todd Pankratz following 2:30 p.m. screening of BIRTHRIGHT on Sunday, October 15.

BIRTHRIGHT - A WAR STORY tells the story of women who have become collateral damage in the aggressive campaign to take control of reproductive health care and to allow states, courts and religious doctrine to govern whether, when and how women will bear children.

LUCHINA FISHER (Co-Executive Producer/Writer for BIRTHRIGHT) is an award-winning writer and filmmaker. She has written and produced three nationally broadcast documentaries on Gladys Knight, B.B. King and the history of Title IX, as well as numerous segments for television. Her work has appeared on Discovery Health, A/E, ESPN, National Geographic Channel, and ABC and in syndication. She is also the writer, director and producer of two award-winning short films. Fisher began her career as a journalist, reporting for the Miami Herald and People magazine. She was a contributing editor for O, The Oprah Magazine. Her articles have appeared in The New York Times, Lifetime magazine and Health, as well as online at ABCNews.com where she currently writes about the entertainment industry. She is also the co-author/ghostwriter of several books. Fisher has received awards from the Society of Professional Journalists and the Illinois Arts Council.

DANIELLE DEAVER, who appears in the film, has been married to her husband Robb for 14 years and they are the proud parents of a son, Alex, who is 9. Deaver has been a nurse for 15 years and works as a director of nursing.

DR. TODD PANKRATZ, who also appears in the film, is a partner with OB/GYN Associates in Hastings, Nebraska. He has held numerous leadership positions in the Nebraska Medical Association, including the current president, and serves as Nebraska state officer to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
