The Norman A. Geske Cinema Showcase

A stage for filmmakers

Where Film Meets Its Audience

The Norman A. Geske Cinema Showcase turns screenings into dialogue by bringing filmmakers to Lincoln so they can share the stories behind their stories. The series allows students, artists, and audiences to have honest conversations about film.

Named for visionary arts advocate Norman A. Geske, the series celebrates risk, craft, and conversation. Visiting filmmakers step beyond the screen—leading talks, joining classes at the Johnny Carson Center for Emerging Media Arts, and connecting with students from Lincoln’s Arts and Humanities Focus Program. Over time, these exchanges have become part of the larger story of how cinema keeps evolving, one voice at a time.
