The Friends of The Ross are the heart and soul of our theater and if you’ve been thinking about joining or upgrading your membership, the Spring Membership Drive (April 15-May 31) is a great time to do it!

When the Nebraska heat hits the triple digits, what better place to go than a cool, dark movie theater with other local film fans? We have a great lineup of special events and series coming to The Ross in the summer months, beginning with the return of the MADE IN NEBRASKA series on June 3. Every Wednesday Night in June and July we will be featuring a different movie filmed in the Cornhusker state. Tickets are just $5.

As long as there has been a film theater at the University of Nebraska, there has been a visiting artist program. Starting in 1973, the Sheldon Film Theater Film/Video Showcase welcomed guests, including Richard Myers (1973), Jon Jost (1975), Wim Wenders (1982), Wallace Shawn (1982), Martin Sheen (1985), and Werner Herzog (1986).
