The Norman A Geske Cinema Showcase presents actress Lynn Lowry and Academy Award-winning editor Chris Innis, who will be at The Ross on Friday, October 29 for a Q+A with the audience following a screening of I DRINK YOUR BLOOD.
On Friday, October 29, join us for special screenings of two classic cult horror movies: THE EVIL DEAD (1981) and I DRINK YOUR BLOOD (1970).
The screening of I DRINK YOUR BLOOD will be followed by a Q+A with actress Lynn Lowry (who stars in the film) and Academy Award-winning editor Chris Innis, who is a producer for the film’s distributor, Grindhouse Releasing.
Lynn Lowry will be selling autographed merchandise in the Ross lobby at 6pm, before the screening of I DRINK YOUR BLOOD, and also following the Q&A.
Tickets for these screenings are at regular Ross prices. Separate admission required for each screening.
Chris will also be at The Ross on Thursday, October 28 for a Q+A following a screening of The Hurt Locker. More info here.
CHRIS INNIS
Chris Innis, ACE, is the Academy-Award® winning film editor of the critically-acclaimed thriller, The Hurt Locker. She graduated from the University of California Berkeley with a B.A. in film studies, and earned an M.F.A. in live-action filmmaking from California Institute of the Arts (CalArts), the creative arts school founded by Walt Disney. Innis is also a producer for cult film distributor(s) Grindhouse Releasing / Box Office Spectaculars with her co-producer/husband, Bob Murawski. She co-produced the digital restoration (and first-time release in the U.S. on Blu-Ray/DVD) of the 1966 spaghetti western, The Big Gundown, starring Lee Van Cleef (of The Good, the Bad and the Ugly), written by long-time Sergio Leone collaborator, Sergio Donati and directed by Sergio Sollima, as well as the re-release and digital restoration of the 1968 cult film, The Swimmer, screenplay by Eleanor Perry and directed by Frank Perry, starring Burt Lancaster, which won an International Press Academy Satellite Award for Innis and Murawski. LYNN LOWRY
Lynn Lowry is an American born actress who has been performing, directing and producing for about five decades. She is best known for the cult classic horror films I DRINK YOUR BLOOD, THE CRAZIES, SHIVERS and CAT PEOPLE. Lynn’s professional career began at seventeen when she acted opposite sixteen year old John Belushi at the Shawnee Summer Theatre in Bloomfield, Indiana. She then moved to New York where, in addition to her work in the cult horror films, Lynn starred opposite Peter Fonda in FIGHTING MAD, directed by Academy Award-winner Jonathan Demme. She was also a regular on the soap opera HOW TO SURVIVE A MARRIAGE opposite F. Murray Abraham and Brad Davis and also acted in ANOTHER WORLD.
While in New York, Lynn studied theatre and became a producer and director at the Off-Broadway THE PRODUCTION COMPANY and also worked at the famed MANHATTAN THEATRE CLUB.
Over the past 20 years, Lynn has been singing with her jazz trio in LA and doing a multitude of Indy Films. She has won 13 Best Actress Awards for her work in MODEL HUNGER, BASEMENT JACK, THE PERIPHERAL and READY FOR MY CLOSE-UP as well as three Life Time Achievement Awards.
