FRIGHT FEST 2026
Henry Jarrod sculpts wax figures so lifelike that visitors to his museum swear they look real. Jarrod prefers historical subjects like his Joan of Arc tableau, but his partner, Matthew Burke, wants some quick cash and urges Jarrod to make more gruesome statues to boost ticket sales. Frustrated by Jarrod’s defiance, Burke decides to burn down the wax museum for the insurance money. After a mysterious yearlong disappearance, Jarrod returns with a very atypical mode of creating wax figures. (MoMA)
The screening on October 12 will feature the 2D version of HOUSE OF WAX (not in 3D).
