Members and their guests are invited to the Friends Spring Party & Annual Meeting! Chat with fellow film lovers, enjoy food and drinks, and help us vote in new Friends board members. Plus, everyone who attends the Spring Party will be entered into a drawing to win free movies for a year!

PLEASE NOTE: This is a 21 and over event. Due to University of Nebraska alcohol regulations, no one under the age of 21 will be permitted.

RECEPTION 1-2:45PM

This year’s Spring Party will be held at The Carson Center for Emerging Media Arts across the street from The Ross (1300 Q st). Finger food will be provided by The Coffee House and there will be a cash bar. A short presentation will start at 2pm with Friends Annual Meeting business, voting for the 2026 slate of Board Members, and drawing this year’s free pass winners.

FILM SCREENING 3PM

After the reception, cross the street to The Ross for a free screening of Steven Soderbergh’s The Christophers, starring Ian McKellen and Michaela Coel. If you’d prefer to skip the screening, you can take home a free pass to use for a different movie of your choice.
